Our Firm

MS+A (M SAKALA & ASSOCIATES) are chartered accountants registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. MS+A has a strong team that collectively brings a combined experience in accountancy and audit that stretches over 50 years, including providing business advisory services, tax advisory and consulting services.

VALUE ADDING APPROACH TO ASSIGNMENTS

Our approach to assignments focuses of the following principles:

Understanding our client’s business and its environment
Working with the client to develop value adding solutions that are tailor made
Reviewing those solutions for effectiveness

Each engagement is ultimately supervised by the Partner who provides direction and oversight. The Partner also uses this opportunity for training our staff whilst also retaining a deep insight into the client environment, financial control system and obtaining a good understanding as to what extent the financial statements would be reliable. Second year assignments are performed by the most senior member of the previous team and at least one junior auditor.

TEAM LEADER & MANAGING PARTNER

Moses Sakala is the Team Leader and Managing Partner. His role involves direct interface with clients, managing the overall audit delivery, offering advice and signing opinions. Moses obtained his practice certificate from ZICA in 2008. He started his career with Deloitte and has over 25 years’ accounting, audit and senior management experience ranging from Divisional Internal Auditor at ZCCM Ltd - Nkana Division to CFO at Railway Systems of Zambia. He has also held positions as CEO with Cummins, Mpelembe Drilling, and HTTI. Moses is an expert in corporate systems and internal controls including banking systems. Moses is in charge of all audit assignments and leads the firm in best practices and audit training as well as staff development. He is a fellow of ZICA and ACCA holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from CBU.
